legal / account deletion
Delete your Tab Keeper account and data
Tab Keeper lets you delete your account and everything in it, yourself, without asking us. This page documents that, for users and for the account-deletion URL that Google Play and the App Store require.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open Tab Keeper and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm.
There is no waiting period and no "deactivated" state. The deletion happens immediately.
If you cannot sign in — a lost device, or a provider account you no longer have access to — email support@sajibulabs.com and we will delete the account for you.
What is deleted
Everything associated with the account, in one operation:
| Deleted | Contents |
|---|---|
| Your account | Email, display name, profile picture link, sign-in provider, provider account ID |
| Your preferences | Currency code and symbol |
| Every contact | Their names and any notes you wrote |
| Every transaction | Amounts, currencies, item names, descriptions, statuses, dates and reminders |
The records are removed from the live database rather than flagged as deleted: there is no soft-delete column, no recycle bin, no archive, and no way to restore them. The same applies when you delete a single contact or transaction in the app — it is gone.
What remains afterwards
- Nothing in the live database. Your rows are gone.
- Backups. If Hostinger takes database backups, a copy of a deleted record can survive inside a backup until it ages out — 30 days. Backups are restored only to recover from a failure, and are never used to reconstruct deleted accounts.
- Access logs. Standard web server logs (IP address, path, response code, time) age out on our hosting provider's normal schedule. They were never joined to your ledger.
- Your sign-in provider. Tab Keeper no longer holds anything, but the fact that you once connected the app still exists at Google, Apple or Facebook. To remove that, revoke Tab Keeper's access from your provider's account settings — Apple: Sign in with Apple → the app → Stop using Apple ID; Google: Security → Third-party apps with account access; Facebook: Settings → Apps and websites. This is optional, and it does not affect what we hold, because we no longer hold anything.
- Your device. Your tokens are in the app's secure storage and go when you delete the app. Signing out clears them too.
Deleting part of it, instead
You do not have to delete your account to delete data:
- One transaction — open it, then Update transaction → delete.
- One contact — deleting a contact also deletes every transaction recorded against them, so the app asks you to confirm.
- Everything about a person but not your account — that is the contact route above.
Data we cannot delete
There is none. Tab Keeper holds no data that survives an account deletion, other than the boundary cases listed under "What remains afterwards": aging backups and the provider's own record of the connection, neither of which is ours to hold or reach.
